Losing My Grandmother
A few years ago, my grandmother died. It was so sad because she had prevailed through so much. First, my grandfather died, then she had a heart attack, then she got breast cancer. Finally, she ended up dying of second heart attack. As a family, we had previously discussed the plans for grandma’s death: that she would be buried with grandpa. When the time came to make decisions about the funeral, we wondered about cremation costs and if cremation would fit into our budget. We were happy to find the costs reasonable and we were able to donate the leftover money to grandma’s favorite charity.
